Overview

Endroite is a utility bot for Telegram that takes user-uploaded photos or video clips, applies preset visual filters and background audio tracks, and replies with the finished video file. It was an exercise in handling media streams and child processes cleanly in Node.js.

Queued media jobs

Video encoding uses significant CPU and memory, so incoming requests are queued rather than spawned all at once.

02.

Automatic temp file cleanup

Each job writes to an isolated temporary path and removes intermediate files whether encoding succeeds or fails.
